Algonquin Park is a living link with a vanishing past. At one time, this natural environment covered all of Ontario.

Today, only 7,725 square kilometers remain. Protected since 1893, Algonquin Park is a place of fabulous ecological diversity. Plant and animal species are bountiful.

Experience Earth was started by Ron Wood, an accomplished photographer, Professor of photography at OCAD University, and lover of beautiful natural environments. Ron is the owner of a successful Toronto commercial photography studio, Heartline Pictures, which he founded twenty years ago. The company’s client list includes the Canadian Museum of Civilization, The Bata Shoe Museum, The Textile Museum of Canada, and the Hong Kong Baptist University. Ron’s personal work ranges from photojournalism on social issues to, of course, nature photography.

Ron makes frequent trips to Algonquin Park to record both grand and intimate landscapes. He founded Experience Earth so that other people might have a chance to get to know and enjoy the park, and benefit from all that it offers.
