The Visitor Centre is a fabulous newly built multi-function facility with a terrific cafe, a viewing deck that gives you an breathtaking bird’s eye experience of the park, and a very interesting museum.

Clothing and Supplies:
Proper footwear such as running shoes, hiking boots or other comfortable enclosed shoes suitable for walking on uneven ground is required. Inappropriate footwear may result in slips. Autumn in Algonquin Park is bug free, so no need to worry about clothing and repellents to keep bugs off. It’s always a good idea to bring a jacket or sweater, in case the weather turns chilly. If rain is in the forecast, dress accordingly and bring an umbrella. A hat is a good thing to have on sunny days.
